General books about the Faith
William Garlington: The Baha'i Faith in America, Praeger Publishers, 2005. A dispassionate, scholarly treatment of the Baha'i Faith, its teachings and its historical development in America, from 1895 to the present.
Janice Mazidi: One With All the Earth. An Introduction to the Baha'i Teachings, Los Angeles: Kalimat Press, 2003. The first half of this book is a biography of Baha'u'llah and the second half is a summary of the teachings. It is well written and very accessible.
Peter Smith: The Bahá'í Religion (Oxford: George Ronald, 1988). This a general introduction to the Faith.

Kalimat Press is an independent publisher that specialises in Baha'i books. The website has a full list of its titles. These have been put into helpful categories such as books on Christianity, books on spirituality, books on social issues and scholarly and academic books.
